Double redirects
Hiyo! I saw your recent cleanup work. Thank you!
FYI, I believe User:MABot does a cleanup of double-redirects every two weeks, so those should generally be ok, but it's always good to have more people looking at the pages and maintenance tasks! 'tis appreciated. <3 -- Quiddity (talk) 00:24, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
- You made my day, @Quiddity:, thanks. Your kind words are much appreciated. Best wishes to you. --Meno25 (talk) 00:45, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
Removing legacy username redirects?
I'm not sure why you are actively replacing legacy username redirect pages with soft redirects to metawiki. Is there a concrete reason that you feel something like Special:Diff/2316356/2371215 provides better information about the pre-SUL unification account status? -- BryanDavis (talk) 21:09, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, @BryanDavis:. This is because such pages are listed as broken redirects on Special:BrokenRedirects. For example, the page User:BBlack is listed as a broken redirect because its target User:BBlack (WMF) does not exist locally on Wikitech, but instead is mirrored from Meta. Anyway, since this annoys you, I will stop fixing those redirects. Best wishes. --Meno25 (talk) 10:35, 7 January 2026 (UTC)
