Running queries on tools-dev (tools-bastion-02)

Your tool icelab apparently has a script running on the host tools-dev (tools-bastion-02) that executes a huge number of single SQL queries per minute. This is not only causing disruption to other users, but is also not allowed under the rules ("Do not run noninteractive processes on the bastion servers"). Please use the grid for such activities.

Also, you appear to be querying the page title for a given page ID, one page at a time (the latter part being the cause of the disruption). I'm pretty sure that your script/query can be optimized to achieve the same result with fewer queries. If you need help with that, please ask in our IRC channel at #wikimedia-labs connect or send a mail to our mailing list at labs-l@lists.wikimedia.org. --Tim Landscheidt (talk) 17:09, 5 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

The scripts were causing even more disruption today, and have been killed. Please follow Tim's suggestions on how to schedule the jobs on the grid. valhallasw (Merlijn van Deen) (talk) 23:00, 8 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
