  1. Make sure the device is not handling any production traffic anymore
  2. Remove from https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/plugins/gitiles/operations/deployment-charts/+/refs/heads/master/helmfile.d/admin_ng/values/common-bgp.yaml if present
  3. Downtime in monitoring
  4. Remove its production facing links
  5. Remove from monitoring (LibreNMS, Puppet, Rancid)
  6. Remove from automation (Homer public & private)
  7. Zeroize
  8. Update Netbox (inc. change status)
  9. Update DNS (dns cookbook)
  10. Remove management/console links (optionally power & unrack)
