Deleting abandoned projects in Labs

Hi, Your project Hadoop has been identified as having "no running instances." We would like to know whether the project is still active and functional. Please reply to this post if they are still functioning. This will help the ongoing process to identify abandoned projects and delete them from Labs.--Sandaru (talk) 17:40, 13 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Sandaru, I intend to use it. Let us see if I can find the time to work on it again in the coming several months. Otherwise it'll be a good idea to consider its purposes will have ended then. In the meantime I have deleted all the inactive instances in the project (in order to hopefully free resources). whym (talk) 06:26, 30 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Tool commons-app-stats doesn't work

Hello Whym, as reported on https://github.com/whym/commons-app-stats/issues/13 (also see https://github.com/commons-app/apps-android-commons/issues/3078), the commons-app-stats tool doesn't work. I would like to help with this issue, and for that, I would like to request maintainer permission on this tool. Please treat this message as a notification sent in accordance with Abandoned tool policy <https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Toolforge/Abandoned_tool_policy>, should you not reply to this message within 14 days. Best regards, --Urbanecm (talk) 09:44, 1 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Urbanecm: Thanks for the ping, I'm working on it. I think I can fix the immediate issue give some more time (queries just take time to finish and there's a lot of waiting in between), but I'll welcome a co-maintainer for a longer term sustainability. whym (talk) 11:53, 5 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the reply. Could you please comment on the github issues, please? --Urbanecm (talk) 12:02, 5 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Tool Migration from the Grid

Hi whym, your tool is still running on the grid engine. According to the grid deprecation timeline that was shared, the grid will be stopped on the 14th of February. If you need assistance with the migration, kindly reach out on the phabricator ticket.

Please find the relevant ticket on Phabricator here T319638 Komla Sapaty (talk) 23:11, 1 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Komla Sapaty Thanks for the reminder. I'm working on the "commons-android-app" tool and "whois" tool and hope to get it done by the deadline. The latter doesn't seem to have a corresponding phabricator ticket. Should there be one? whym (talk) 08:22, 2 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
I see the tools have been migrated. Thanks!
There were a couple of tools that didn't have a ticket.
We have since created tickets for those that haven't migrated yet. Komla Sapaty (talk) 20:54, 15 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
