Scorecard assumes a poor score if Google Docs not used
From the scorecard:
Was the "Incident status" section atop the Google Doc kept up-to-date during the incident?
During discussion of Incidents/2023-01-17 MediaWiki it was brought up that not using Google Docs resulted in a missed point on the scorecard. However, the need for Google Docs is circumstantial: Typically only for internal-only communications. This should probably be reworded or removed. BCornwall (talk) 17:42, 13 February 2023 (UTC)
- I suggest that keeping wikimediastatus.net updated is more important than keeping the google doc status updated: Requiring 15-minute updates to the public about an ongoing incident is important for transparency. Any internal employees could quickly find out about the status of the incident through other, more organic means BCornwall (talk) 17:55, 13 February 2023 (UTC)
