With respect to video
Would also be nice to have the average amount of video that a person watches. Like this percent watch less than 30 sec. This percent watched 30 to 60 sec. This percent watched 60 to 90 sec. Etc Doc James (talk) 17:20, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
- When looking at the normalized data (non-aggregate) data, it would be good to have the potential to look at number of views, location, and exit point in media (for video). Ian Furst (talk) 17:28, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
- @fdans: FYI ^. (as not everyone uses watchlists :) Quiddity (talk) 19:07, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
- These are super interesting numbers, the kind that make sense in one's private space (if you've ever seen YouTube Analytics, it's kind of what you're talking about). However, from the point of view of public, aggregated data, it's difficult to give location data and exit point data, mainly due to privacy concerns.--Fdans (talk) 17:51, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you for this, these are the kind of usecases that will be interesting to instrument when we start working on gauging the actual viewership of media. For now we're focusing on bringing the historical (non-view) data into an API, but once that's done these kind of dimensions are helpful.--Fdans (talk) 17:51, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
