What would you like to use your Tool Labs account for?
As part of a WMF Individual Engagement Grant, I run The Wikipedia Library. Through a partnership with Library Non-profit OCLC, we are building a tool which uses OCLC's WorldCat KnowledgeBase API--the tool will make it easier for editors and readers of Wikipedia to go from article references to full-text sources by using OCLCs database of institutional collections, open access directories, and link resolvers. The tool will run on page load as a userscript, sending an openurl request to the API with structured citation information and an ip address (opt-in). The API will look up the most directly available collection and return a link to it which will be layered next to the reference on the Wikipedia article. Note: Nothing will be coded into Wikipedia articles themselves. We are trialing this tool with three institutions this spring: Rutgers, Montana State, and U of California at Riverside.
