maps project VMs
Hey Chippy, do you know who's still active in the maps cloud VPS project? Do we still need all of the VMs there? I'm still developing and maintaining the maps-wma instance. You indicated you work on maps-warper, but what about maps-tiles1 and maps-puppetmaster? --dschwen (talk) 21:06, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
- Hello,
- yes, I'm running maps-warper and am planning on creating a new VM, migrating and getting rid of the old one. Looking at Horizon and the proxies set up, maps-tiles1 is running https://tiles.wmflabs.org/osm/slippymap.html and is managed by https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:TheDJ they are quite active: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/p/TheDJ/ I think maps-puppetmaster is also setup by this user but I don't know what it's used for. https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T227926 seems to me to imply it's not intended to be kept for long, but I'd check first!
