Hello Tim Landscheidt, Thanks so much. I know I'm late about this but so grateful having a Toolforge account. It has been very resourceful and helps me a lot in many projects and tools related to the movement. I'm indeed happy about this privilege. --Alangi Derick (talk) 15:05, 7 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

A barnstar for you!

gsoc-ifttt-dev review

Hi, we're doing a review to make sure as many tools meet a minimum standard. I noticed gsoc-ifttt-dev doesn't have a description, licence or a published repo. Could you add these information to this tool? Thanks! Komla Sapaty (talk) 23:00, 6 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Redirects to SUL pages

Hiyo! I noticed that Special:BrokenRedirects still has some redirects. I'm vaguely aware of your gerrit:1141092 (which I think is part of the fix for this problem?). I tried searching phab, and found phab:T90978 ("Redirects to global user pages are broken, and added to Special:BrokenRedirects"), and I suspect I should just add you as a subscriber there, and mention the patch and this wiki's examples -- but I'm not certain! Hence I'm writing it all as notes here, instead! Let me know if I ought to do any of that, or if I can leave it with you. Thanks. :-) Quiddity (talk) 22:33, 28 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

I see. It seems like the Special:BrokenRedirect page adds a &redirect=no URL parameter which stops the redirect at all thus making r1141092 not take effect. If you click this (without the “redirect” query parameter), it works as you expected.
I’m also saying that with &redirect=no, that is working as expected. Maybe this is something about Special:BrokenRedirect that we need to fix? This sounds like a different problem to me. —X-Savitar (talk) 21:00, 30 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
Ok, thanks. I'll merely comment on that task with a pointer to this wiki (as an existing example of probably that problem) then, and I won't mention you or that gerrit patch. Cheers! Quiddity (talk) 01:27, 1 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! I created a patch to address this issue: https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/mediawiki/core/+/1165981.
Let’s hope that it gets merged. -- X-Savitar (talk) 20:28, 2 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
