I am of the opinion that there are too few merit badges.
Here is a short and ongoing list of merit badges for the Wikimedia developer community:
- If at first you don't succeed
Revert, Revertagain badge: Awarded for reverting a revert in a crisis situation - I did a
Git! badge: Awarded for flailing at git while a minimum of 2 people watch in IRC and give you conflicting advice - Montparnasee/SpiderMan 2 badge: Awarded for creating a train blocker
- Train heist badge: Awarded for reverting your change out of train to unblock it
