Some ideas:
* pseudo TLDs we can resolve locally (for example *.{codfw,eqiad}.wmcloud or *.{codfw,eqiad}.wmcs)
I think we can't count on those. Those TLDs can be eventually boought by someone. Perhaps we should forget about private TLDs and use public ones only.
* wikimediacloudservices.org * wikimediacloud.org
Those are so long strings that I wouldn't use them for anything other than redirecting to wikitech.
