Why isn't this page under the main information hub m:HTTPS? Nemo 13:02, 6 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

sec-warning localization

Hi,

The page https://www.wikipedia.org/sec-warning is translated to several languages, which is nice, but it also has several localization issues.

  1. How were the current language selected? The current list is a bit odd. Some big languages like Russian, Indonesian, and Portuguese are not there, for example.
  2. How can more languages be added?
  3. Arabic, in particular, has a pretty severe rendering issue. The name of the language is shown completely incorrectly. Where can this be fixed?

Upgrade to Win7?

We shouldn’t tell folks update to update to Windows 7. Win7’s extended support ended two days ago, so there will be no more security updates, and thus it shouldn’t be considered secure anymore (although browsers’ latest versions can be expected to arrive for Win7 for some time, except for IE). This page should advice users to upgrade to at least Windows 8.1. —Tacsipacsi (talk) 18:34, 16 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Removal MITM/Downgrade attack mentions?

These concepts are very technical in the face of an otherwise-straightforward article for the lay-person. BCornwall (talk) 17:12, 18 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
