On tentative plans
There are tentative plans for a service (perhaps websockets based) that will do HTTP consumption of events from Kafka, but it is possible that this will not be practical for production use. For now, it is expected that consumers of events will consume from Kafka using a Kafka client of their choice.
I would suggest that this paragraph either be removed entirely, or expanded upon (including links to relevant tickets/discussions), and moved to a new section. -- Eevans (talk) 20:34, 28 January 2016 (UTC)
