Talk:Annual Toolforge Survey
No Google Form please
Dear @Jhernandez: (m:User:JHernandez (WMF)),
Thank you for your email. Apologies but I do not want to fill the Google Form module I received via email from your email address for various reasons.
Some of them:
- https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/javascript-trap.html
Please understand my perspective and allow me to somehow participate in this survey without executing any proprietary software on my computer.
(Unfortunately I have been reporting the same issue for years...)
Having said that, I am available to help you to adopt whatever freedom solution, such as w:LimeSurvey.
Warm wishes --Valerio Bozzolan (talk) 09:12, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Valerio, I completely understand your perspective and would like to support you. I'll reach out by email directly. Thanks for your input --Jhernandez (talk) 11:15, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you again, you were very kind with me :) I'm trying to prevent this in the future in order to save mine and your precious time. Thank you again for your help. I will ask for help in m:Wikimedia Forum --Valerio Bozzolan (talk) 10:49, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
What user name to opt out with?
The email I received tells me that I have to add my Wikimedia developer account name (i.e. the username you use to log into wikitech.wikimedia.org)
to the list at Annual Toolforge Survey/Opt out. As you can see from the site notice, the two are no longer the same: Wikitech has been separated from LDAP (developer account) and is being migrated to SUL. So which part of the sentence is true, Wikimedia developer account name
or the username you use to log into wikitech.wikimedia.org
? (Note that I don’t want to opt out, and my user names are the same in both systems anyway, but others could be confused.) —Tacsipacsi (talk) 16:10, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
