Your shell access was granted

Hello, welcome to Wikimedia Labs! I would like to inform you that your shell request was processed and you should be able to login to Bastion host now at bastion.wmflabs.org. In case you get into troubles, please read this page which contains useful information about accessing instances. You can also ask in our irc channel at #wikimedia-labs connect or send an e-mail to our mailing list labs-l@lists.wikimedia.org - thank you, and have fun using labs! @User:Tim Landscheidt: Thanks! Perhaps Help:Access or https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Git/Tutorial#Set_Up_SSH_Keys_in_Gerrit should say something like:
Be paranoid and check for the correct Help:SSH_Fingerprints/bastion.wmflabs.org when logging in for the first time. Currently nothing much links to the ssh fingerprint; I found it with google.
I see you're an emacs user, as am I. For some reason I can't identify, git commit insists on launching vim, not my usual editor, emacs; not solved w/ GIT_EDITOR=emacsclient or EDITOR=emacsclient (!). Any tips on why this is happening/what to do about it? --Elvey (talk) 07:43, 7 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
Oh, I just needed to export the environment variable. --Elvey (talk) 07:57, 7 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
I also have core.editor in ~/.gitconfig set to /usr/bin/emacs. --Tim Landscheidt (talk) 08:02, 7 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
