I am going to do a number of mesh networking projects here. I am setting up a mesh network at a K-12 school using a solution from open-mesh.org. It is a cloud based solution. My intention is to use this to setup my own cloud server making me less reliant on others and more educated by trying and doing it myself.

This is a part of a multi layered project I have that encompasses the entire community and the local police and fire departments including a distributed server environment that offers services to participants. I want a live operating system that can be put onto a disk or usb drive and distributed along with a small $5 computer with a radio to use for mesh networking. The live operating system will have documentation and videos on survival (generating electricity, gardening, edible plants, butchery, water purification, etc... and use of the system that I have made. This will be a system that can route electricity and packets from users in a self healing and fully usable operating system/router setup.
