• When starting the first instance, empty the seeds list
• Create the application user, c-cqlsh a -f /etc/cassandra/adduser.cql
• Configure the system_auth keyspace to use NetworkTopologyStrategy
• Start the second instance on a different node (the sequence thereafter does not matter)
