Consider permalinking to cookie removal line in Varnish code
In "Removes the cookie so it's not forwarded beyond this front end cache layer" the link refers to line 636 of the latest Varnish code in production, which may change over time so the line that removes the cookie is not guaranteed to be 636th. Maybe there could be 2 links: one to the line at this moment in time (for reference) and a link to the latest version of the file? MPopov (WMF) (talk) 19:46, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah there's going to be issues like this throughout this page. We can try to dual-link as you're suggesting here, which will help. But anyone really wanting to track this for Canary purposes will need to be aware generally of all of the configuration of these daemons, as a relevant change could accidentally sneak into currently-unrelated parts of the VCL or Lua code, etc. BBlack (WMF) (talk) 14:22, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
