The procedures in this runbook require admin permissions to complete.
The ToolforgeToolviewsStale alert fires when the last run of the toolviews script was too long ago.
Debugging
The script is supposed to be running every hour when logrotate runs. If it did not, there are essentially two options:
- The script itself is broken, in which case you should follow the ToolforgeToolviewsFailed alert runbook
- Something is wrong with the logging and logrotate setup itself
You can check historical logs with:
tools-k8s-haproxy-N:~$ journalctl -u logrotate
