PoP stands for point of presence. Wikimedia uses at least two different kinds of PoPs: caching PoPs and network PoPs.[1] Caching PoPs generally correspond to Wikimedia caching data centers such as Esams, Ulsfo, Eqsin, Drmrs, and Magru.
