Zotero is a citation manager implemented as a Firefox extension. It has the ability to mine bibliographic metadata from a web page using website-specific Javascript plugins, and a community creating such plugins. The aim of this project is to run the Zotero translation server (a headless Firefox with Zotero), and use it as a REST web service which Wikipedia gadgets can use to create a citation template from a single URL.
