This is the project to test the IPv6 compatibility of the MediaWiki software, before it gets deployed to Wikimedia sites.

IPv6 is the next generation IP address protocol. This project tests the compatibility of the MediaWiki software and its readiness for IPv6 deployment on Wikimedia wikis. Every visitor is given a fake IPv6 address, and MediaWiki will handle the visitor as an anonymous IPv6 editor, and treats it like how it treats IPv4 addresses.
