Description

The Commons-dev project is a project meant to develop and test new functionnalities, gadgets and extensions tailored for Wikimedia Commons.

Philosophy

The goal of this project is to prepare and maintain a MediaWiki install relatively close to the Commons setup to provide the developers community a good quality staging environment.

Current projects

• To review the different lightbox extensions existing for MediaWiki, and to see how we could offer a Lightbox view to browse Commons categories.
