The public Analytics mailing list is the main place where researchers, WMF analytics team members, data enthusiasts, other WMF staff, etc., talk about a variety of Analytics topics. We want to bring more discussions public but we want to establish some subject-line tags, to help us filter out the conversations we're not interested in. We can deliberate over these tags, the following is just a draft, please be bold. But when the list is stable, I propose we keep it stable so we can have dependable filters based on it.
- [Outage] - this thread includes details about a service or data product not being available for a while
- [Technical] - this thread contains technical implementation details or infrastructure details
- [Release] - new product, service, or data is being announced
- [Announcement] - general public announcement
